INTERESTED IN VOLUNTEERING AT OUR EVENTS, OR JOINING OUR BOARD OF TRUSTEES?
We would welcome students, parents, grandparents, teachers, community members, former Freeport students and recipients, as well as, community, former residents of Freeport, business leaders to become members of Freeport Dollars for Scholars volunteer board of trustees. Sometimes it is as simple as:
- re-posting our flyer for our fundraisers on social media, or
- forwarding an email to your contacts, or
- sharing our text link to a secure website for donating, or
- encouraging youth to apply, and
- celebrating our Freeport Scholars at Homecoming and Football games and the Freeport Recreation Center, or the Nautical Festival and Fall Festival (Trick or Trunk on the Nautical Mile) where our branch sells t-shirts and hoodies.

Additionally, we need folks who would be available to review help to review applications and read essays in April, Your efforts will go a long way in assisting the students of Freeport NY, who reside in the Freeport School District, to obtain their goal of higher education. ***Students***- Volunteering for Freeport Dollars for Scholars Events count for hours of service for students of all ages Pre- K through High School on their resume.
